Trust in the Lord with all your heart

Published March 1st, 2019 by Ccwestside

What I love so much about walking and growing with Christ is looking back and seeing how faithful God has been throughout each and every step. To see how His leading has guided and directed your life, and how His hand continually protects you. To count the many blessings that come from His love and favor for your life is endless. And to know that each and every trial you faced had a divine purpose.

I wish I could go back and tell my younger-self to worry less. To give it over to the Lord because He’s going to take care of it. Ultimately, I wish that I trusted God more. I wish I trusted His plan for my life instead of trying to work things out my own way. I wish I trusted His purpose in the hard times where things looked like they would never turn around.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart
Lean not on your own understanding
In all your ways acknowledge Him
And He will direct thy paths”
-Proverbs 3:5-6

Don’t get me wrong, I trusted God but not with my whole heart. I didn’t and sometimes still don’t honor and acknowledge Him in all that I do. But as this verse instructs us to yield our will and understanding to Him. And act out His will, not our own.

The heart of God is begging you and I to acknowledge Him in everything we do. To ask His inerrant advice, and practice His presence in our everyday life. He loves a heart that is surrendered to His perfect plan. And secure is the heart that fully trusts in the Lord.

“He will direct thy paths” that is a promise from the Lord to you! Trust Him, lean on His understanding and He will guide your path.

Isaiah 26:3-4 says, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in YAH, the Lord is everlasting strength.”
