Proverbs 31:19-20

Published September 28th, 2018 by Ccwestside

19 She puts her hands to the wheel to make cloth.
20 She opens her hand to the poor, and holds out
her hands to those in need.

Proverbs 31 speaks of a virtuous women. One who seems to have it all together, all the time. If we were to compare ourselves to her daily, we would daily fail. God also does not expect us to be perfect or live a life of false expectations.

Jesus came to serve others not be served. He also calls us to serve others.

For me this is always easier said then done. I often get lost in daily chores, taking the kids to sports or caught up in my job. Life gets so busy that I daily fail in realizing the opportunities to help someone. God has given us all a talent different from each other. Whether its through encouragement, a meal or just sitting down and listening to a friend.

If you attended our ladies Graced night, we heard of all the ways that are available to serve others. The leg work is even done for us already. All we have to do is sign up. Making a meal for a family, attending ladies prayer are just some ways that we can reach out beyond ourselves and do what Jesus came to do.

By taking the focus off of self and putting it on the needs of others, you will stat to see your spiritual life grow and be blown away by the blessings that come through serving others. Start praying for God to reveal to you ways you can reach others. You will be blessed.
