Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art

This hymn played over and over in my head leading up to the New Year. When meditating on it, I couldn’t move much past the first line: 

"Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart” 

This new year, Lord, let me see You in everything. Be all that I see. May I see Your Glory in the ordinary everyday moments, in the loud busyness may I hear Your still, small voice and find peace. May I see Your love in the faces of those around me and give me Your heart to love them, Lord.

Help me to keep my eyes on You and to "Set my mind on the things above, not on things that are on the earth" (Colossians 3:2). The hope of Heaven that can only be found in You.

Lord give me vision of what You have next for me. Stir in my heart a desire for Your will & Your way, and keep my eyes on the path You have laid out for me.

Reign in me and be the Lord of my heart.
